Welcome

Big News! In early March we launched our redesigned and improved website. The new site should prove easier to navigate and has more links. New pages arriving every day. Coming soon: an easier way to see cutaways of our storm doors on our Screen Door Page.

Some Things Old

Sakrete announced some lower prices on their gravel mix. The new price of a bag is $5.75.

In January, we brought back pre bent step flashing. The size is 5x7 and is $21.75 for a pack of 100.

Another new item in January was job size packages of standard collated nails. These nails come in packages of 500. Right now we have nails to fit Bostitch @28° and nails to fit Hitachi @21°

Some Things New

Prices have been falling all around us. Since January, prices of collated nails has dropped; in some cases, by as much as 40%. In other areas throughout the yard, lumber and plywood have also seen lower prices. As of March 24th, Euro Spruce studs are under $3 and Domestic studs are $2.

Other Things

Since having started this newsletter, we have striven to give you rare information known from years past.

When nails were first sold, they were sold by 100 nails of each size. Therefore, for 100, 4 penny nails it cost you 4 Pence. For 100, 6 penny nails it cost you 6 Pence, and so on down the line. Today we sell nails by the pound but we still use the penny description for the standardized sizes, as well as the Pence sign (d)for nail identification.
